This image was made in the fall of 2006; after a rainstorm late in the evening – the sun was just barely making an appearance before sunset. The image shows the rear quarter panel of a Porsche 356 that has been rusted, but has left multiple paint patches. I was intrigued that one of the paint patches looked like a rosebud while the leaves of the Rust Oak tree laying on top of it had rusted to match the color of the car. A beautiful exhibit of nature and the work of man melding into each other over time. One leave holds a thimble full of water ever so delicately balanced.
